Everton: Fans buzz as Kenny Tete and Diogo Dalot could understudy Seamus Coleman

Lots of Everton fans have been buzzing at the news that Kenny Tete and Diogo Dalot could understudy Seamus Coleman at the Merseyside club for the upcoming 2020/21 season, according to Footmercato.

As per the outlet, Tete would likely be on a permanent deal from Olympique Lyon, but Dalot could be as a loan from Manchester United.

The future of Djibril Sidibe is apparently in doubt having been on loan at Goodison Park from AS Monaco in the 2019/20 season, as the Toffees are reportedly unwilling to pay 12 million euros, which is the equivalent of around £10.9 million, to secure his services on a permanent basis.

Jonjoe Kenny may not be in the plans of Carlo Ancelotti having spent this campaign on loan at FC Schalke 04.

Comparing the stats of both Tete and Dalot to those of Coleman and Kenny in their respective domestic leagues in this term, Tete has averaged the most tackles and interceptions, as Dalot has committed the fewest fouls and has the best ball control per league game (via Whoscored).

Both arguably have qualities that would suit the right-back role, as these EFC supporteres seemed to buzz after reading the news on Twitter with some even suggesting that either of them could even start ahead of Coleman…
