Plenty of Everton fans have been buzzing as Nicolo Schira (via The Toffee Blues) reported that Thiago Silva has been offered a contract at the Merseyside club up until 2021 with an option of adding a further year.

However, as per the journalist, the central defender would preferably like a two year deal, meaning that the Toffees may have to offer that extra year for him if they would like to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Nevertheless, the talks between Silva and the Blues are apparently still ongoing as Carlo Ancelotti hopes that a transfer can be struck between his team and veteran defender.
Although he has never played for an English side before, the 35-year old offers a vast amount of experience having played at the highest level elsewhere in his career so far.
Silva has 505 club appearances in all competitions under his belt, playing for the likes of PSG and AC Milan, according to Transfermarkt. Added to that, he has also won international honours with Brazil, lifting the Copa America.
A couple of EFC supporters have suggested that he would be a good partner for Mason Holgate in the heart of the defence, and his experience alongside him could potentially help the 23-year old develop as a centre-back.

Facts, Holgate will be such a good partnership with him, Mina will gain valuable experience to allow him to become rhat better player then what he already is, If we get sidbe we have a very strong defence, Which can be turned easily into a 3 back.

Given our centre halves I’d take him all day he’d come in and be our best central defender

His experience could be huge for Holgate. I see nothing wrong in getting him in.
