Lots of Everton fans have been rejoicing over the latest transfer claim on James Rodriguez as Transfermarkt have reported that he joined up at Goodison Park on a free transfer from Real Madrid.
According to the outlet, the Spanish giants only secured themselves a sell-on clause, which would earn them a percentage of the Colombia international’s next transfer fee. The percentage is understood to be in the lower and conventional range.

Indeed, this could be seen as a great bit of business by the Merseyside club, as the current market value of Rodriguez is £28.8m.
The 29-year old is a statement signing from the Toffees given his pedigree, as he has two Champions League trophies as well as several other major titles to his name, as per Transfermarkt.
