Many Everton fans have been replying to a post on the Toffees’ official Twitter feed calling for Cenk Tosun to start, after the striker scored the winning goal for Turkey in a Euro 2020 qualifying tie with Albania.

Turkey hosted Albania at Fenerbahce’s Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Friday night looking to continue their challenge with France to top Group H, and appeared to be heading for a draw until Tosun found the back of the net at the start of stoppage-time.
His 90th-minute strike, and fifth goal of the tournament, proved enough for the points, with Turkey remaining ahead of France on head-to-head record, after beating the 2018 World Cup winners in June.
Les Bleus and Turkey meet again on Monday in a battle for the top spot, level on points at 18 each after seven games.
Tosun now has three goals in his last two international appearances (TransferMarkt), and Everton fans have been calling for Marco Silva to hand the 28-year-old a recall, having only featured for 35 minutes in the Premier League this season.
The Wetzlar, Germany-born forward has been omitted from the matchday squad on four occasions across all competitions, as well, with his most recent no-show coming against Burnley when the Toffees were beaten 1-0.
Burnley’s win made it four league games without a victory for Everton, while the Toffees have only scored a total of six times in eight fixtures (WhoScored) to sit inside the bottom three during the October international break.
Silva is not unexpected to adhere to the wishes of the Goodison Park faithful and turn to Tosun in his time of need, with the Portuguese instead likely to play it safe and not take many risks with pressure mounting on his position (Liverpool Echo).
Nevertheless, fans want to see Tosun in Royal Blue once more.
