Everton: Fans cannot see deal for Everton Soares materialising

Everton fans have rubbished reports that the club have a verbal agreement in place to sign namesake Brazilian winger Everton Soares in January.

The winger is a player that attracted a lot of interest from Arsenal and Spurs earlier in the year, with the Merseyside club now believed to be in the mix for his signature ahead of the mid-season transfer window.

Soares is a player that is best suited out on the left-hand side but can also play in the number 10 role if required. He has scored 14 goals in 34 appearances this season for his club Gremio.

With manager Marco Silva under intense scrutiny this season and with a lack of goals and creativity in the side, Goal Brasil revealed that the Blues have reached an initial agreement with the player as they negotiate an appropriate transfer fee to bring him to the Premier League.

Supporters did not believe that the rumours were true about bringing the Brazilian to Merseyside and made their feeling clear on social media.
