Everton: Fans deem Jonas Lossl not good enough to start vs Watford

Everton’s reserve goalkeeper Jonas Lossl could feature against Watford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday. However, supporters do not wish to see him take Jordan Pickford’s place in between the sticks.

The 30-year-old recently moved to Goodison Park from Huddersfield Town after the Terriers were relegated to the Championship, though the Danish shot-stopper has not been deemed good enough to start weekly in the Premier League.

Lossl featured 31 times for the Yorkshire based-outfit last season but only kept five clean sheets as his side were destined for the drop. He is yet to make an appearance for the Blues since his move to Merseyside during the summer.

Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash could be his first appearance for the club, but the Gwladys Street faithful are not convinced that Lossl would be up to the job.

One fan said that he “isn’t fit to play”, let alone start games in this domestic competition. Another supporter called him a “joke” and stuck by the England international despite the mistakes that he’s made in recent weeks.

Here you will find some of the best responses from Everton fans:
