Everton fans were delighted to hear that Gylfi Sigurdsson was to be sold by manager Carlo Ancelotti, according to the Sun.
The Toffees were beaten 1-0 by hated neighbours Liverpool on Sunday as manager Jurgen Klopp opted to play with a youthful side, with the Iceland international admitting that he could be on his way out of the club.
The three-time Champions League-winning boss is set to overhaul his squad during his first transfer window at the helm, as he looks to put his own stance on the team.
The report revealed that Everton are likely to lose players before Ancelotti can go ahead with his transfer plans, with Sigurdsson reported to be one of those players after he was on the receiving end of an Italian dressing-down at Anfield.
Sigurdsson arrived at the club from Swansea City for £45m in 2017 and has scored 22 goals and provided 13 assists in 97 appearances.
Supporters exploded with delight once the update broke and made their feelings clear on social media.
