Everton fans were thankful that Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard rejected a move to Goodison Park earlier in his career.
As a youngster, Lingard was offered trials at some of the best teams in the country at the age of seven before signing for the Red Devils two years later.

He made his Premier League debut during the 2014/15 campaign after loan spells at Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton and Derby County before cementing a place in the first-team squad at Old Trafford.
However, his career could have gone down a very different path as he revealed that he could have signed for Everton.
