Everton: Fans disagree with Greg O’Keeffe’s stance on Marco Silva

Everton fans were in disagreement with the views of The Athletic journalist Greg O’Keeffe after stating that manager Marco Silva has had “zero luck”.

The Portuguese manager is under severe pressure after losing against hated neighbours 5-2 at Anfield on Wednesday. As a result, they find themselves in the relegation zone with just four wins from 15 Premier League games so far.

Silva said after the game that the pressure of his side’s relegation battle led to his players making mistakes which led to them conceding five goals on enemy turf.

However, The Athletic Greg O’Keeffe briefly analysed the club’s situation on Twitter (via @GregOK), stating that many decisions did not go Silva’s way and that he has not had much luck.

That had hallmarks of Roberto Martinez’s final Merseyside derby. If Leicester felt like an ellipsis because there was fight and heart-break, that felt more like a full stop.

The Gwladys Street faithful have previously expressed their concerns about their fixtures during December, with a home tie against Chelsea and a trip to Old Trafford to contend with.

Supporters did not see eye-to-eye with the views of O’Keeffe and made their feelings clear about it on social media.
