Everton: Fans discuss Ellis Simms as David Unsworth says he will stay until January

Many Everton fans have been discussing the future of Ellis Simms as David Unsworth has said, according to the Liverpool Echo, that he will remain at the Merseyside club until at least the January transfer window.

The 19-year old has scored no fewer than 10 goals in 26 matches over all competitions for the Under 23’s, as per Transfermarkt, as some members of the Goodison Park faithful have questioned as to whether he should be given a chance by Carlo Ancelotti in the first team or be sent out on loan to gain some experience playing men’s football.

One EFC supporter claimed that the Toffees ‘don’t want another Rooney scenario,’ who signed for Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson for a rather big transfer fee as a teenager, before going on to have a very successful career in the game.

Another Blue even described him as ‘the next DCL,’ who has scored a quite impressive five goals in three games in the Premier League in the 2020/21 term so far (via Transfermarkt).
