Everton: Fans excited by transfer links with Manchester United ace Diogo Dalot

Dalot

Many Everton fans have been getting excited over a transfer link to Diogo Dalot as the Daily Mirror have reported that Carlo Ancelotti is targeting the Manchester United ace to bolster his defensive options in the summer window.

According to the outlet, the full-back is out of favour at Old Trafford and could be one of a number of players that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to offload to raise funds for their own business. Indeed, Dalot has rarely featured so far for the Red Devils in the 2019/20 season, playing in just 11 games in all competitions and scoring one goal, as per Transfermarkt.

Richarlison

Starting off easy, which Premier League club was Richarlison signed from?

Ancelotti believes that he could secure the signing of the Portugal international for just £10m, which could well turn out to be a bargain.

Dalot has previously been tipped to understudy Seamus Coleman should he transfer to Goodison Park and, at just 21 years of age, the right-back arguably still has a lot of potential and could be the long-term successor to the now 31-year-old Irish defender. He is also capable of playing on the left-hand side and so could provided some useful versatility to the Toffees.

Can Dalot be a long-term successor to Coleman at Everton?

These Everton supporters drooled over the news on Twitter, with one fan even claiming that he is ‘better than Kenny’, who has been linked with a possible exit to David Moyes’ West Ham:

Good player in there definitely. I'd have him for £10 million no probs… great potential.

Still young and better than Kenny

He has far more potential than all the other top club rejects Everton signed in the past, bar Luas Digne.

Id have him

For 10m he could become a very good acquisition.
He’s not really been able to break through but there’s definitely something about him. Still very young.
