Everton: Fans frustrated as Fabian Delph has fresh injury concerns

Everton supporters have become frustrated that midfielder Fabian Delph has picked up another injury in preparation for his side’s next Premier League game against Southampton on Saturday.

Delph, who joined the club for £10m from Manchester City in the summer, jumped straight into the heart of Everton’s midfield but Marco Silva’s side has struggled this season after only three wins in their first 11 games.

The England international has suffered from a catalogue of injuries and only played for the Citizens on 17 occasions in all competitions last season.

The Toffees have found themselves in a similar scenario and have been unlucky to endure so many injuries in recent years.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Delph appeared to hold his hamstring as he limped off after the Spurs game and was absent from training on Monday, indicating that there could be a future issue concerning Delph’s fitness.

Supporters were frustrated that they could be without both Andre Gomes and the 29-year-old for their trip to the South Coast.
