Everton: Fans fume as Fabian Delph suffers a further setback

Everton fans have reacted in utter frustration after Fabian Delph was sent home from England’s training camp after suffering another injury.

The 29-year-old was carrying an injury when the Three Lions’ manager Gareth Southgate called him up to the squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 Qualifier against Montenegro.

However, the FA confirmed that the England international will now return to Goodison Park for further rehabilitation and will not take any part in their two games.

Delph suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the season and missed a handful of games in the process, and this latest setback could mean that he will not take part in a significant part of Everton’s season, with matches against Liverpool and Manchester United approaching.

Supporters were infuriated with yet another issue with his fitness and made their feelings clear on social media.

One fan said that he is “made out of pasta”, while another described the news as a “shocker”.
