Everton fans have reacted in anger about the performance of Alex Iwobi during his side’s Carabao Cup exit to Leicester City on penalties.
The game ended 2-2 after normal time following a dramatic second-half comeback which ended with a 91st-minute stunner from Leighton Baines to draw the game level.
The visitors had taken an early advantage with two goals in the space of three minutes from James Maddison and Jonny Evans.
However, the Blues fought back in the second half and sent the game to spot-kicks but Cenk Tosun and Leighton Baines saw their efforts saved by Kasper Schmeichel.
Certain displeasure was taken towards Iwobi after his performance, he lost possession 14 times during the game and only had a pass success rate of 60%.
Supporters were not impressed with the Nigerian’s performance and made their feelings clear about it on social media. One fan compared his outing to his teammate Oumar Niasse.
