Everton fans would be forgiven for thinking that Christmas had come a little early with the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, and as the Italian’s managerial debut at Goodison Park draws nearer, it seems the first glimpse of the new manager’s programme notes has got Toffees fans extremely excited.
Ancelotti will see his side take on Burnley on Boxing Day in his first game in charge. Ahead of the match, Everton’s official Twitter account released a tweet containing an image of the new manager’s first message to the home faithful.
He spoke about his ambition to compete in European football and deliver major honours to Goodison Park.
As may have been expected, fans were understandably beaming with joy ahead of Ancelotti’s bow, with fans taking to Twitter to express their excitement as the new era dawns.
