Speaking to evertonfc.com, the 26-year old spoke about the strong bond that he has with his Colombian teammate, saying:
“It is a great joy to be able to play alongside James, he is like my brother.
“He is not just a good person who keeps me focused, he is somebody who can professionally help me.
“He brings something to my life. It is great sharing every day with him.”
Indeed, Rodriguez joined the Merseyside club in the summer transfer window from Real Madrid and Mina is clearly pleased that he did. The 29-year old has made a great start to life in Carlo Ancelotti’s team, scoring three goals and supplying a further four assists in six games in all competitions so far this term (Transfermarkt).
Mina has also been very solid recently, winning a rather impressive 4.2 of his duels per match in the Premier League, as well as averaging five clearances and two interceptions per game (Sofascore).
