Dominic Calvert-Lewin came to the fore for Everton as they bounced back from the sacking of Marco Silva in style.
Under the caretaker charge of Duncan Ferguson, the Toffees ran out 3-1 winners over Chelsea at Goodison Park this afternoon, with the 22-year-old striker scoring twice in the second half after Richarlison had opened the scoring inside five minutes. [via Sky Sports]
Calvert-Lewin now has five goals in the Premier League this season and seven in all competitions, making him Everton’s second top scorer for the 2019/20 campaign so far.
He put the Toffees 2-0 to the good shortly after half-time when he dispossessed Kurt Zouma and coolly dispatched the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga, doubling his tally late on following sloppy defensive play by the visitors. [via Sky Sports]
His all-round performance was superb, with four shots on target against Frank Lampard’s side and six in total. He also won 11 aerial duels, more than any other player on the pitch. [via WhoScored]

I know he has his detractors, I've no issue with that, but I couldn't be more pleased for Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He was immense today. His hold up play would look even better if our midfield was within 20 yards of him! Fully deserved his goals.
