Lille forward Victor Osimhen has been spotted on his Instagram story wearing an Everton shirt and fans are speculating over what this could mean.
The 21-year-old attacker has posted a video of himself taking on the ‘Stay at Home Challenge’ where current and former footballers see how many kick-ups they can do with a loo roll.
Osimhen has taken on the challenge after being nominated by Odion Ighalo and many were surprised to see the Nigerian sporting an Everton shirt in the video.
Lots of Toffees fans are wondering if the youngster is just an Everton fan or if he could be linked with a move to the club. Osimhen is valued at £27million (Transfermarkt) after joining Lille from RSC Charleroi in the summer last year. The 6’ft striker has tallied an impressive 18 goals and six assists this season across all competitions for the French outfit (also Transfermarkt).
Osimhen has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League after Newcastle and Leicester City both showed interest in the starlet last year (via Soccernet). Added to that, the player himself has previously refused to rule out a move to England, saying: “If big clubs look at me, it’s great for me. But I am well in Lille. The club will decide if I stay or leave. I will not object.”
One Everton fan has said the 21-year-old is ‘better than most EPL strikers’ whilst another has urged the club to ‘sign him up’.

What do you reckon, Blues? Could this be a sign that the goal-machine is headed to Goodison?
