Everton: Fans laud Jarrad Branthwaite after display v Wolves

Many Everton fans have been lauding the display of Jarrad Branthwaite after he made his senior debut in the Premier League against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

The 18-year old came on as a second-half substitute for Leighton Baines, as he slotted in as a central defender while Lucas Digne moved further forward in the left wing-back role.

Branthwaite impressed several members of the Goodison Park faithful on Twitter as he managed to win three of his duels, make a tackle and record 21 accurate passes, according to Sofascore.

A couple of Blues were especially blown away by his battle with Adama Traore, with one fan even claiming that it ‘felt great watching him smash through Adama’.

Indeed, it was perhaps not the ideal game to be making his debut as the Toffees were eventually thumped 3-0 by Wolves at Molineux, but at least the Englishman got his chance and may get more as the 2019/20 season draws to a close.
