Everton fans were lauding Steven Pienaar after the former Goodison Park favourite turned 38-years-old.
The South Africa international enjoyed a superb career with the Merseyside outfit, appearing in over 220 games, scoring 26 goals and assisting a further 49 across all competitions (via Transfermarkt). He proved to be a popular figure amongst supporters with many labelling him as one of the club’s best signings over the last 20 years.

Pienaar has recently come out and admitted that he would love to manage his former team, claiming that it is a dream for him (via Destenor). The 38-year-old currently finds himself at Robinhood 1 in the Dutch fourth grade E and with the Ajax under-16s as he makes his way into the world of professional coaching.
