Everton supporters in the Transfer Tavern are still feeling embarrassed following their woeful 3-0 defeat to Atlanta in the Europa League.
Despite a summer of significant reinforcement at Goodison Park, the Toffees have endured quite a poor start to the new season. Ronald Koeman’s side are currently positioned 16th in the league, having already faced the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Tottenham. Their fixture list isn’t any easier as they travel to play Manchester United this weekend.
Nonetheless, it was their defeat to Atlanta in the Europa League that has angered manager Ronald Koeman, and he provided a scathing assessment of his team to the press this week.
The experienced Dutchman has questioned his side’s confidence, and aggression as the Italian team easily conquered them. It’s clear for all to see that Koeman is unhappy with his team’s performances which have concerned our resident Everton fans.
