Everton fans pleaded with striker Richarlison to stay at the club following rumours that Barcelona had made an £85m bid for him as they look to find a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez. A report by Sky Sports stated that Everton had rejected the bid “immediately” – and supporters are relieved, to say the least.
The Brazilian’s scored eight goals and made three assists in the Premier League this season and WhoScored has rated him 7.29/10 for his contributions so far, and that’s the highest rating of any player at the club. Sky Sports believes he’s a “long-standing target” of Barca’s sporting director Eric Abidal.
Richarlison posted a photo of himself in training on Thursday, the day after the news broke, in what appears to be an ‘I’m going nowhere’ message. Fans were quick to reply to the tweet to show how much they want him to stay and how much they rate him.
