Everton fans on Twitter have been loving their recent run of form. Three wins on the bounce against Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal have led them to believe that they could finish the season in 7th. However, with a supposedly routine away day against already relegated Fulham, they lost 2-0 and the Toffees weren’t at all happy.

This awful performance and woeful result for the blue half of Merseyside has come just after the fans were starting to buy into life under Marco Silva. The Portuguese tactician was starting to make the fans believe he could be the right man to take them forward, yet this loss has completely undone the hard work that they’ve put in over the last few weeks.
The Toffees went into this game completely unchanged too. Having blown Arsenal away last weekend, completely outclassing the Gunners at Goodison Park despite only managing to win 1-0 against the Champions League-chasing side, Silva obviously believed they could do it again yesterday. It just wasn’t to be on their trip to the capital yesterday, though, as goals from Tom Cairney and Ryan Babel saw the Toffees return to Merseyside with egg on their faces.

The Toffees will be desperate to forget about yesterday’s footballing action, and will just hope that they can bounce back when they face Manchester United at Goodison Park next weekend.
