When it comes to the international break, a lot of fans can get frustrated as their in-form stars go off to play for their country and come back fatigued, injured and whatever else. This time around it’s The Toffees’ turn to be angry as Ademola Lookman had to return to Finch Farm for treatment on a knock he picked up whilst with the England U21s.

Ademola Lookman has struggled for game time at Goodison Park so far this season. The youngster has found himself playing second fiddle to the likes of Theo Walcott and Bernard on the wings for Marco Silva’s Everton. However, with Walcott in shocking form and the fans getting on his back, it was looking like an opportunity was about to open for Lookman before the international break, now this injury could cost him that chance.
In seven appearances this season, Lookman has racked up just 130 minutes of action, and 60 of those came in the Carabao Cup. The 21-year-old has been knocking on the door off the bench and when he secured an assist in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in what was a huge win for The Toffees, it looked like Silva would afford the youngster a chance from the start in the coming weeks. That has yet to happen and now the Goodison Park faithful are fuming that an international injury could cost him a chance.

The Toffees are fuming that Lookman is injured and will hope he can get back to fitness and usurp Walcott in the first-team as soon as possible.
