Everton fans have called on manager Marco Silva to consider young Ademola Lookman as a possible starter against Chelsea on Sunday after a convincing, yet solid performance against Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia on Tuesday evening.
The once-off clash, that was made possible by club sponsor Sport Pesa, gave Silva the opportunity to field some fringe players and it took Lookman only 16 minutes to open the scoring as the Toffees stormed to a 4-0 victory at Goodison Park.
The 21-year-old has been a regular figure on the Everton bench this season and has made five substitute appearances so far, while he started in the club’s Carabao Cup loss to Southampton in September.
It’s been the winger’s pace and control that have specifically led to the fans taking a liking in him and they would like to see him feature more frequently on the big stage.
