Yesterday at Anfield, Everton turned up and put in one of their most memorable performances in recent memory. Marco Silva turned up to win and played football accordingly, however, the chances just didn’t fall their way and they were left shattered by a late goal from Divock Origi, however, at half-time they had the belief that it was finally going to be their day.
HT | Blues arguably unlucky not to be ahead after carving out the better chances in an entertaining first 45. More of the same after the break, lads!

The first 45 minutes at Anfield saw Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Theo Walcott all go close to opening the scoring for the Toffees and it was Silva’s side that looked more of a danger in the first-half, to the surprise of plenty of Liverpool fans. Despite this, though, they failed to make good on their early pressure and Jurgen Klopp’s side eventually retook control of the game and landed the killer blow just seconds from time.
Putting the result aside, Everton had a really good chance of taking something from the game and the supporters will be more than proud of how they set up to attack their bitter rivals away from home yesterday. Things are looking bright at Goodison Park and even just the fact that Silva turned up with the will to go at his opponent yesterday showed just what his Everton side are about, even if they did lose out.
You can see what the Toffees had to say at half-time in the clash here:
Another day it’s 3-0 if Mina Gomes and Theo score

Fantastic apart from not scoring. Lookman on for Walcott and new studs for Bernard and we might just win it.

The Toffees were good value yesterday and you can’t blame them for feeling that they should have taken at least a point away from Anfield.
