Everton: Fans plea to Marcel Brands to do business as transfer window dates confirmed

Loads of Everton fans have been pleading to Marcel Brands to do business in the upcoming summer transfer window as the dates were confirmed by the Premier League.

As per the official website of the top flight, the window will open for 10 weeks at the end of the current 2019/20 season in England’s highest division, starting on the 27th July and ending on the 5th October.

In addition, following a discussion with the English Football League (EFL), a domestic-only window will be added from the 5th October, closing at 5 p.m. BST on the 16th October.

During this period, clubs from the Premier League will only be able to trade with teams from the EFL, either in terms of loans or permanent deals.

However, no transfers can take place between sides from the top flight in this period, and the windows are subject to the approval of FIFA.

Nevertheless, several members of the Goodison Park faithful have urged Brands to do some good business having recruited rather poorly for this campaign, spending over £100 million on new players but still finding themselves in the bottom half of the table at the moment.

One EFC supporter even asked ‘can we get a refund on Iwobi?’, their most expensive addition, but the former Arsenal man has only managed to score two goals and make one assist in 28 games in all competitions so far in this term, according to Transfermarkt.

Iwobi is just one example of where the recruitment policy at the Toffees arguably needs to be improved, as these Blues pleaded to Brands on Twitter to get it right this time:
