Everton: Fans praise Richarlison despite defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool

Everton fans have praised the contributions of Richarlison despite his side’s 5-2 defeat against Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Brazil international was unable to help the Toffees in breaking their winless streak at Anfield, as they haven’t won at the home of their hated neighbours since 1999.

He scored a header towards the end of the first half but it was not enough to help his side get anything from the affair, perhaps unlucky not to score more as he had three shots inside the box and won eight of his personal duels.

The result has meant the pressure on manager Marco Silva has raised after his team now sit in the relegation zone with just four wins from their first 15 Premier Leagues games.

Richarlison recently put pen to paper on a new long term contract which will keep him at Goodison Park until 2024.

Supporters were kind to the Brazilian despite the heavy defeat and made their feelings clear about him on social media.
