Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to an official statement from the club, as they moved to debunk Sky Sports’ claims about Carlo Ancelotti.
Sky Sports had claimed on Monday afternoon that former Napoli boss Ancelotti had arrived on Merseyside for talks with the board, and they later declared that the 60 year-old had actually agreed a deal to become the new manager.
The club then issued their own version of events, promising the Goodison faithful that they have held meetings with ‘a number of candidates’ but that no contract had been agreed, per the official site.
The Toffees got off to a rip-roaring start under interim manager Duncan Ferguson, beating Chelsea 3-1 at Goodison Park, but Sunday’s impressive draw at Old Trafford was marred somewhat by the controversy surrounding Moise Kean.
The young Italian may be one of the players to benefit if his compatriot Ancelotti were to take over – the veteran boss won league titles in England, Germany and Italy as well as winning the Champions League three times.

The Guardian have confirmed Ferguson will still be in charge for the League Cup clash against Leicester, but plenty of fans have been left annoyed by the news as the club basically announced that they have no announcement yet.

It’s come to my conclusion that our club actually take pleasure in disappointing the fans and killing their dreams.
