Many Everton fans have been reacting to the latest news on their pursuit of Real Madrid ace James Rodriguez.
According to football journalist Tancredi Palmeri, the Merseyside club have agreed personal terms with the 29-year old worth €4.5 million per year, which is the equivalent of around £4 million.
However, the main issue is still the price that Zinedine Zidane’s team want, with Los Blancos demanding a transfer fee of €25 million, which equates to roughly £22.4 million, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side want to cut that sum.

Nevertheless, this would be a statement signing from the Italian boss given the pedigree of the Colombian international, as he has two UEFA Champions League trophies as well as several other major titles to his name, as per Transfermarkt.

These members of the Goodison Park faithful reacted to the news on Twitter, and with personal terms already reportedly agreed, all that should be left now is an agreement on a transfer fee for Rodriguez to become an EFC player:

Sign him fast… Give them Walcott as a gift

If it’s true, the 4.5 M sounds pretty good instead of the 8, and I think we can bargain the asking price down to around 20 M. That would be a good business in my book.
