Many Everton fans have been reacting to the possible loan exit of Jonjoe Kenny to FC Schalke 04 as German outlet Sport1 (via Inside Futbol) have reported that they have re-opened talks with the Merseyside club to get him back to Germany in time for the start of the new 2020/21 term.
Indeed, the Englishman spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Schalke and gained some perhaps valuable experience, having played in 34 matches over all competitions, scoring two goals and making three assists, as per Transfermarkt.

However, having played in just 40 games across all competitions in five campaigns for the Toffees, maybe it is time to move the right-back on in the summer transfer window.
Kenny is arguably in danger of being on the fringes again given that Seamus Coleman plays in his position and is also the club’s captain.

However, Schalke are apparently not in a position themselves to sign the 23-year old on a permanent deal, so perhaps another loan move away from Goodison Park would suit all parties involved.

These EFC supporters seemed keen to let Kenny go on Twitter, with one Blue even claiming that he is a ‘terrible’ player:
Loan is fine. Selling is better .

I’d be happy with a loan with an obligation to buy for a decent fee…plus a initial loan fee.
