It was the weekend of nightmares for Everton fans, watching their side suffer a 3-2 defeat to Brighton on Saturday, and now it looks like the situation has got even worse.

Lucas Digne’s last-minute own goal ensured the Toffees’ fourth loss in six games, with Marco Silva now under more pressure to turn Everton’s form around in time to challenge for a top-six place.
After going 1-0 down due to a Pascal Gross free-kick, Silva’s side managed to temporarily turn it around with goals from Adam Webster (OG) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin temporarily gifting them a 2-1 lead.
However, a crazy last ten minutes saw Neal Maupay equalise through a VAR gifted penalty before Digne deflected the ball into his own net to give Brighton a 3-2 advantage.
This wasn’t the end of Everton’s troubles, however, when the news came in yesterday that winger Bernard suffered medial ligament damage during the loss, being taken off within the first half an hour.
In pure frustration, Toffees supporters reacted to the hammer blow, taking aim to their under-fire boss:
🤕 | Bernard was forced off with a knee problem during today’s game.
Get back soon, Bernard! 🎩🎩🎩 pic.twitter.com/gOv0hIltlG
