Many Everton fans have been reflecting on Nikola Vlasic as the former Goodison Park man put in an impressive display for Croatia.
The 23-year old scored against France in a 2-1 loss in the UEFA Nations League and also managed to achieve a 90% pass accuracy and three successful dribbles in the game, as per Sofascore.

Vlasic was sold to CSKA Moscow from the Merseyside club in July of last year for £14.13 million and has since scored a rather impressive 25 goals and made a further 17 assists in 77 games in all competitions for the Russian team, according to Transfermarkt.

However, the attacking-midfield player’s time at the Toffees was not as impressive, as he only managed to score twice and provide one assist in 19 matches over all competitions, lasting just one term before he was shipped off (per the website).
Vlasic slammed the manager of the Blues at the time, Sam Allardyce, for his ‘awful’ style of football (via Daily Telegraph), which was perhaps a reason as to why he was eventually sold by EFC.
Everton fan reaction to Vlasic performance
These supporters reflected on Vlasic’s time at Everton on Twitter after his performance for his country, with one fan even claiming that the midfielder is a ‘massive talent’:
Dead right. Another player we messed up. Imagine him with Carlo.

He came at a horrible time at the club, think he’d really thrive training with James and being managed by Carlo

Agreed. I really like what I saw and felt he shouldn’t have been sold. We’ll obviously never know now but I feel he could have fit nicely into this team.

Was gutted when he left. Was one of the few players I thought was half decent during the end of the Koeman era

I admit I stamped my feet & screamed the supermarket down when we sold him. 😂

Absolutely loved Vlasic me, devastated we sold him and for such a low fee in comparison to his ability.
