Everton fans have rubbished rumours that the club are interested in bringing in Lazio’s Ciro Immobile, according to Tuttomercatoweb (via Sport Witness).
The Toffees are looking for a striker to bolster their attacking options due to scoring just 24 goals in the Premier League this season.
Newly-appointed manager Carlo Ancelotti is expected to be given transfer funds by club owner Farhad Moshiri to place his input in the team.
According to Tuttomercatoweb (cited by Sport Witness), the Merseysiders are very keen on bringing in the Lazio striker and state that they are ‘knocking on the door’ for the Italy international.
Everton would be willing to pay a ‘heavy price’ for the 29-year-old. Although his price tag was not disclosed, TransferMarkt estimates his valuation to be at £40.5m.
This season alone, he has scored 19 times and provided five assists in 17 Serie A appearances.
Despite this, supporters were not interested in the services of Immobile and made their feelings clear on social media.
