Everton fans have praised the impact of Turkish striker Cenk Tosun after his 97th-minute equaliser during his side’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
The game was largely overshadowed after the horrific injury sustained by Toffees’ midfielder Andre Gomes after a rash tackle from Son Heung-Min, with the South Korean star left in tears shortly before being sent off by referee Martin Atkinson.

After a quiet first half of football on Merseyside, the second period exploded into life as Dele Alli gave the visitors the lead after 63 minutes.
The atmosphere was completely sucked out of the stadium after Son’s red card challenge on Gomes. However, it was soon injected back into Goodison Park after Tosun’s close-range header ensured that Everton shared the spoils with the north London outfit.
The header from the Turkish forward was his first league goal of the season.
