An early goal from Tom Davies and a strike from Richarlison with 15 minutes to spare meant that the Toffees secured three points and their first away win of the season.

Sidibe provided the important cross for Everton’s winner but was condemned by a section of Everton supporters.

Despite this, he accumulated seven tackles, 26 passes and a pass success rate of 88.5% (via WhoScored) that helped guide the Blues to three points on the south coast.

Supporters voiced their displeased their views on the France international’s performance on social media. One fan described him as “absolutely terrible”, while another stated that defending “isn’t his art”.
