Everton fans have blasted right-back, Djibril Sidibe, following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on New Year’s Day.
The World Cup winner is currently on loan from the Ligue 1 side AS Monaco with an option to buy and has been a key part of the Toffees’ tactical setup.
He has provided four assists in 13 Premier League games for Carlo Ancelotti’s side and his team lies in 12th spot after the defeat to last season’s champions.
His statistics from the proceedings suggest a different story entirely as the Frenchman was unable to help his team take any points back to Goodison Park.
According to Sofascore, he won seven out of 13 of his ground duels, completed five tackles, played four long balls and had a pass success rate of 87%.
Despite this, supporters were displeased with Sidibe’s showing and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he looked like he had been out partying the night before, while another described him as a “useless player”.
