Steve Bruce’s side drew level as Andy Carroll was left unchallenged to cushion a header down for Fabian Schar who fired home to draw the sides level.

This incident was one of a number that the England international lost out on, losing 15 out of 20 individual duels and 15 out of 18 aerial duels (via FotMob).

He was previously called out by fans for performing like a ‘Sunday League player‘ during the last campaign and has been unable to eradicate the errors from his game since then.

Supporters were fuming with Keane as a result of the goal and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he is not good enough to play for the club, while another hopes that Ancelotti can get rid of the deadwood in the playing squad.
