Everton: Fans slam possible transfer exit of Lucas Digne as Ben Chilwell alternative for Chelsea and Manchester City

Plenty of Everton fans have been slamming the possible transfer exit of Lucas Digne after ESPN reported that both Chelsea and Manchester City are seeing him as an alternative to Ben Chilwell in the upcoming summer transfer window.

As per the outlet, Leicester City will hold out for at least £75 million, which may be too much for both Pep Guardiola or Frank Lampard to pay.

However, the Toffees would apparently expect a high figure for Digne too if both clubs came knocking on the door, but they do not expect him to cost as much as Chilwell.

Comparing the two left-backs in the Premier League so far in the 2019/20 season, the Frenchman has made more assists, and also averages more shots, key passes, crosses, tackles and clearances, whilst averaging a higher overall rating per game, according to Whoscored.

Digne beats Chilwell in a lot of key areas both offensively and defensively, and so perhaps it is not a surprise that these EFC supporters on Twitter want to keep him at Goodison Park beyond this campaign:

Evertonians, would you let Digne go for the right price?
