Loads of Everton fans were left stunned after what defender Djibril Sidibe did during his side’s 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The France international was preparing to enter the fray as he was replacing an injured Theo Walcott during the first half. As he went to pull up his socks, he was unaware that he was only one out of two white socks as his left shin guard was exposed for all to see. Manager Carlo Ancelotti appeared enraged on the touchline and sent him marching down the tunnel to collect his other sock before he came onto the field.
His gaffe did not affect the outcome of the game as the Toffees got the victory, with goals from Bernard, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin ensuring that they moved up to seventh in the league standings. Supporters saw the funny side’s to Sidibe’s mistake and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described his antics to “PS2 graphics behaviour”.

He’s better at putting his kit on than he is a footballer.
