Everton fans were disappointed to discover that manager Marco Silva would remain at the helm for the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.
The Portuguese manager has come under intense scrutiny this season as his side sit 17th in the Premier League table, with just four wins from their first 14 outings.

Silva’s men are set to make the trip across Stanley Park to Anfield on Wednesday where the Toffees will face the league leaders, who sit eight points clear at the summit over Leicester City.

With other games going on at the same time, a defeat for the Blues could see them slip into the relegation zone.
Supporters are fearing the worst and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described the decision as “horrendous”, while another predicted that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could rest half of his first-team players and still beat Silva’s side.
