Everton manager Duncan Ferguson ended his caretaker spell in charge today with an unbeaten Premier League return, although one of his decisions this afternoon was questioned by a lot of Toffees fans on Twitter.
Alex Iwobi was forced off with injury after just 11 minutes at Goodison Park in the 0-0 draw against his former club Arsenal, with Cenk Tosun being introduced in his place.
The Turkish striker failed to have an impact upon his introduction to the game, not managing to hit the target with either of his two shots and managing just 21 touches, the fewest of any Everton player who featured for more than 20 minutes against the Gunners. His tally of 15 passes was also the lowest among the home side when excluding those who played fewer than 20 minutes. [via WhoScored]

These Everton fans on Twitter disagreed with Ferguson’s decision to bring on the 28-year-old, with one calling for him to be given “the Moise Kean treatment”, a reference to the teenager being substituted just 18 minutes after coming off the bench against Manchester United last week – ironically, Kean came on for Tosun in the 80th minute against Arsenal this afternoon:
Cenk Tosun should be getting the Moise Kean treatment here.

Obviously something majorly gone on with Kean because Iwobi going off was the perfect opportunity to fetch Kean on and bang him up top with DCL but instead he brings Tosun on who looks as though he’s got steel weights in his boots and he’s just had a sesh on the Mandy!

Very poor bringing tosun on. Same striker as dcl. Playing davies on the right has killed us. Bring bernard and moise kean on
