Everton have returned to talks over Barcelona centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo in this transfer window.
The Blues are currently struggling with injury woes across their backline and are looking at making a move for the 20-year-old. According to Paul Joyce, Carlo Ancelotti is considering bringing Todibo to Merseyside on a loan deal (relayed via @EvertonNewsFeed).
Would Todibo start for Everton?
Yes
No
As it stands, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane are Everton’s only fit senior centre-backs, as Mason Holgate and 18-year-old Jarrad Branthwaite are both sidelined with foot injuries (via premierinjuries.com). Therefore, bringing Todibo to Goodison Park on a short-term transfer could be a huge boost in the club’s hour of need.
Many Everton fans are on board with signing the £12.6m-valued defender. One supporter is very interested in welcoming the Frenchman to the team and has even branded him as ‘clear of Mina’.
Another Evertonian has said that, with senior figure Holgate out of action, bringing in a loan option ‘makes perfect sense’.

He’d be a good option whilst Holgate gets back up to speed. Think it’ll be Keane and Holgate as our pairing when they’re all fully fit, but this is makes perfect sense
