Everton fans have voiced their concerns about the prospect of Morgan Schneiderlin stepping in for the injured Fabian Delph during their next Premier League tie against Norwich.
The 30-year-old has found himself to be more of a squad player this season due to the arrival of Fabian Delph and the development of Tom Davies, who are both getting more game time.
The ex-Manchester United man has only featured in seven Premier League games this season and both of the Toffees’ Carabao Cup ties.
He has been slammed by fans in recent weeks, accused of being “not good enough” for the side during the team’s 2-0 defeat at home to Sheffield United in September. This backs up the fears that they have about him starting on Saturday.
With Delph injured, it could mean that the Blues can experiment with their formation by playing an extra attacker in the side, due to the Canaries’ poor defensive record this season.
Despite this, supporters were anxious about the possible addition of Schneiderlin in the team and made their feelings clear on social media.
Here you will find some of the best responses from Everton fans:
Looks like Schneiderlin will be picked again tomorrow. How does he get away with it?
Silva only has himself to blame if it goes wrong

No Delph tomorrow, which means Schneiderlin will start pic.twitter.com/WhSgOqY9bc

Marco Silva’s Everton line up again with a 4231 formation. Morgan Schneiderlin accompanies Fabian Delph in central midfield. https://t.co/gkUriv9ETW

It’s a bit of my concern, too. Think that’s probably the best lineup in the midfield. As long as it’s not Siggy with Davies/Morgan, that was awful last week.
