Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern has been very impressed with how well Everton have performed in the Premier League so far under Ronald Koeman, as well as how well they’ve invested so far this January window.
They’ve already managed to bring in Ademola Lookman and Morgan Schneiderlin this window and it doesn’t look as though their gaffer Koeman is done just yet!
With a little under a week left of the January window it’s vital that they get their business done soon so they can look at their squad and know where they are at for the remainder of the season.
The Toffees will for sure be aiming for a Europa League spot in the table and they will need to improve their team if they are to ensure that is achieved.
It’s likely players will also be set to leave Goodison Park, so they’ll need to be replaced and it’s vital they have good depth in the latter stages of the campaign.
It may only be one more player that joins and that could be all that it takes to make the difference, if they get it right that is!
With that in mind, surely Everton fans would be thrilled if Koeman could snap up one of these two players next week…
Leon Bailey
The talented Jamaican winger is a wanted man and Everton will likely face a tough challenge to win over his signature.
But, the financial backing the club currently have and potential Europa League football could help to sway the Genk star to sign for the Goodison Park club.
With Gerard Deulofeu leaving the club for AC Milan, Bailey could be the perfect fit for Everton to replace him with his raw pace and potential to grow.

He may not be a household name just yet but the 19-year-old Manchester City centre-back has some great qualities at a young age.
Reports from The Daily Mail suggest Everton are interested with their punters here by the bar keen to lure one of City’s key youth players away from the club.
Everton have a great history of giving younger players a chance which could tempt Adarabiayo away from the Ethiad.
