Many Everton fans have expressed their satisfaction with Frank Lampard's decision on the future of Duncan Ferguson.

When he agreed to become the Toffees' new boss, the 43-year-old had to make a call on whether he wanted the former Scotland striker to be part of his backroom team, and it was confirmed on Monday that Ferguson would be staying put. Goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly and assistant Leighton Baines are also set to remain part of the setup.

Lampard will likely bring in fresh faces, with the likes of Paul Clement and Ashley Cole reportedly lined up with coming on board at Goodison Park.

Ferguson's Everton history

Ferguson has been placed in temporary charge at Goodison Park after the sackings of both Marco Silva and Rafael Benitez. He steered Everton to seven points from four games in his first spell and oversaw a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the more recent of those caretaker stints.

The Scotsman previously spent 10 years of his playing career with the Blues, either side of a two-season stint at Newcastle United. He ranks 17th in their list of all-time league goalscorers with 61 goals and is revered by many Everton supporters.

Sky Sports' Alan Myers relayed the news on Ferguson and Kelly, and here's what these Toffees supporters had to say.
