Many Everton fans have been left buzzing over an official club post on Ellis Simms.
As per the official website of the Goodison Park faithful, the striker has now signed a new three-year deal with the Merseyside club that will keep him there until June 2024.
Should Everton promote Simms?
He has struck up a strong relationship with Rafa Benitez and taken inspiration from the progress of Dominic Calvert-Lewin to put pen to paper on the deal.
Simms has yet to make his senior debut for the Toffees, but has scored plenty of goals at youth level, including a staggering 32 in 21 games in the U18 Premier League in the 2018/19 season (Transfermarkt).
His loan spell at Blackpool last term yielded ten goals and two assists in 24 matches in total over all competitions (Transfermarkt), suggesting that he is ready to make the step up to senior level on a permanent basis.
