Some Everton fans have been destroying Gylfi Sigurdsson for his very poor display versus Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Iceland international was fairly anonymous for the Toffees, to such an extent that he was the first to be subbed off in the 67th minute for Alex Iwobi.

He did not manage to register a single shot on target, and also failed to make a successful dribble, cross or long ball (Sofascore).
Sigurdsson also lost possession of the ball no fewer than eight times in the match, earning him a measly 6.4 rating by Sofascore.

Indeed, if he continues to put in poor performances such as these, then the attacking midfield player may find himself dropped by Carlo Ancelotti in the near future.
Everton fan reaction to Sigurdsson display
These members of the Goodison Park faithful destroyed Sigurdsson on Twitter after witnessing his poor display against the Red Devils, with one Blue even claiming that he is a ‘fraud’:
He’s terrible

It’s not even anger anymore.. it’s become normal and expected. He’s such a crab.

He brings nothing to our team! Impact player if we are winning or have an injury. Do@not understand what Carlo sees in him . We MUST attack more in the 2nd half .

I think at the moment Sigurdsson is one of a few players he has to persevere with until he has more options. I’m betting/hoping the fraud that he is will be gone from our club as soon as possible. I cannot stand him.
