Many Everton fans have been left fuming as the Merseyside club's official Twitter page announced that they will play Manchester City at home in the FA Cup.

Given that no supporters will be allowed to attend the game, playing at Goodison Park does not hold too much of an advantage for Carlo Ancelotti's team, as they could be in for a very difficult match.

Pep Guardiola's men are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table and have recently broken a top-flight record by becoming the first team to win 15 games in a row across all competitions in English football history (Sky Sports).

In order to increase their chances of progressing to the semi-finals, there would have been other sides the Toffees would have liked to have been drawn against. However, they will now have to beat a red-hot City team in the quarter-finals of the competition.
