Many Everton fans are loving footage that has emerged of summer signing Ben Godfrey, following their huge victory over Liverpool on the weekend.

It has been a very solid very campaign for Godfrey since joining from Norwich. In his 17 Premier League appearances, he has managed an average of 3.1 clearances, 1.4 interceptions and 1.7 tackles a game (WhoScored).

BBC Sport pundit Phil McNulty praised the Everton defence in his post-match analysis following the match at Anfield as he said: “Michael Keane was a colossus in defence while Ben Godfrey, signed for £25m from Norwich City, has been a revelation”

Godfrey is still only 23, so has bags of potential and fans of the club could see him as an integral part of the team for many seasons. If he keeps performing like he has done, then the club have a great defender in their ranks.
